DC brau
summer used to include long lists of required and non-required reading which i always looked forward to and still consider to be a priority of mine. however, with the spike in “must-watch-tv” i’ve created a SUMMER SERIES SYLLABUS of which i’m making quick work due to the oppressive heat bubble that is DC. don’t worry, i’m getting some reading in as well!
so far i’ve tackled:
*Big Love: seasons 1-4
*True Blood: season 1
*Friday Night Lights: season 5
*Damages: season 3 (almost finished)
tv queue as of today:
*The Big C: the rest of season 1 I didn’t see
*Dexter: all seasons
*The Tudors: all seasons
*Freaks and Geeks
*It’s Always Sunny: seen seasons 1-2 & after a 4 year hiatus, I’ve decided to try it again
some of my picks for your queue are:
*Parks and Recreation
*Community
*Weeds
*The West Wing
*Big Love
*Friday Night Lights
what are you guys watching? any recommendations for my queue?

thinking cup cappuccino. perfect for a rainy afternoon. I’ve been wanting to visit this new cafe for a while and loved my warm choice. It is seriously jam packed in here right now; a lively scene for a dreary day. I would definitely return and was pretty tempted by all the bakery goods (tarts and cupcakes especially)
read this. Tina Fey has written a witty, smart and mostly hilarious account of her rise from awkward teen to awkward mom and (30)Rockstar. Most of what she wrote made me laugh out loud, but I also took away some good lessons about balance and expectations of women in today’s have-it-all society. Just have fun with it.
